Timber
British wood species
We enjoy working with a variety of timbers in our projects, from well-known species to rarer beauties, sourcing locally when possible. Each piece of wood carries traces of its former life as a tree, adding unique character and history to each of our works.

Wood sourcing
We use timber from a range of sources, enjoying the process of selecting the perfect wood for each project.
We work primarily with timber grown around the UK. Not only is this the most sustainable option, but it often has more character than imported wood that's been grown for commercial purposes.
We also sometimes used reclaimed wood, such as mooring posts or railway sleepers, which have a unique history, or FSC certified timber from responsibly managed forests.
We celebrate what others might see as 'imperfections' in our work, seeing beauty in the cracks, knots and shakes which reveal the story of the timber.
