MATERIALS AND FINISHES
TIMBER OPTIONS
A selection of the timbers we work with, which can be stained or finished to achieve different tones and effects.
We enjoy working with a variety of timbers, from well-known species to rarer beauties, alongside complementary natural materials such as stone and textiles. We source locally wherever possible, valuing the individual character each material brings to a piece and enjoying the different possibilities they offer.

Wood sourcing
We use timber from a range of sources, enjoying the process of selecting the perfect wood for each project.
We work primarily with timber grown around the UK. Not only is this the most sustainable option, but it often has more character than imported wood that's been grown for commercial purposes.
We celebrate 'imperfections' in our work, seeing beauty in the cracks, knots and shakes which reveal the story of the timber.
